“Poetry is ordinary language raised to the Nth power,” said American poet Paul Engle. “Poetry is boned with ideas, nerved and blooded with emotions, all held together by the delicate, tough skin of words. In celebration of National Poetry Month, Findlay Market will host its fourth annual Art and Poetry at the Market event featuring local poets and spoken word artists competing for cash prizes. Also, the event will feature an art bazaar with local artists and crafters. DJ Perry Simmons will provide music. The event will include Christian Moerlein beers, a variety of barbeque and prepared foods vendors. Free and open to the public.
