One of the largest wine festivals in the Midwest, the Cincinnati International Wine Festival has been raising money for the wine industry and local charities for 24 years.
Four events — winery dinners at local restaurants, a charity auction, golf tournament and the Grand Tasting — encompass the three-day festival. The Grand Tasting (the main event) features more than 700 wines, live music, food and a silent auction. Festivalgoers can also purchase tickets for the Special Tasting, which includes seven tastes of high-end wines.
From merlots to Rieslings and everything in between, the hardest decision you will have to make is which wine to try first.
Thursday-Saturday. Tasting tickets: $60-$110. Grand Tastings at the Duke Energy Convention Center, 525 Elm St., Downtown, winefestival.com.
