It’s happened again! Each year the customary “stealing” of the famous statue of St. Patrick from the Holy Cross-Immaculata church kicks off the events leading up to Cincinnati’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, produced by the Cincinnati St. Patrick Day Parade Committee alongside the Fountain Square Management Group. Since 1970, the statue has been traditionally “stolen” from its resting place within the church and paraded the church’s neighborhood to usher in the festivities leading up to the annual event. Grab your shamrocks, enjoy a mug of green beer and join residents of both Ohio and Northern Kentucky to celebrate the parade’s 46th anniversary. Sponsors of the event include Harp Lager, Guinness and CBTS Technology Solution Architects. The parade begins downtown at noon. The route starts at Second Street and will continue toward Main.
