Like the Flaming Lips sang in the conclusion of Bunbury Music Festival: “Everyone you know someday will die,” including you. If death seems like the “elephant in the room” to you, then maybe you should tackle the taboo at Arlington Memorial Gardens’ Death Cafe. It’s Cincinnati’s edition of a worldwide movement to broaden the conversation around death. The meeting is a safe place to meet and discuss death while enjoying tea and cake — there may be grim reaper cookies as well.

7-9 p.m. Monday. Free; reservations recommended. Arlington Community Room, Arlington Memorial Gardens. 2145 Compton Road, Arlington. amgardens.org, deathcafe.com.
