Exhume your bellbottoms, disco shirts and dashikis and head to Horseshoe Casino, where Women Helping Women is hosting a far-out night for a serious cause. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the organization’s Light Up the Night Gala, which supports survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence and stalking. The theme of this year’s 1970s-style gala is “A Decade of Peace, Love and Understanding,” featuring specialty drinks by Molly Wellmann, decade-appropriate raffle prizes, light bites, live music and a chance to win a custom-designed bowtie by special guest Dhani M. Jones.
5:30-9 p.m. Thursday. $100; host-level tickets available. Horseshoe Casino, 1000 Broadway St., Downtown, womenhelpingwomen.org.
