Once the largest suspension bridge in the world, the John A. Roebling Bridge was the first to cross the Ohio River and link Cincinnati to Covington, Ky. Built after the Civil War, it also influenced the design of New York’s Brooklyn Bridge. Celebrate the 147-year-old bridge at the 10th annual RoeblingFest. Get your history on by talking to a guy dressed like Abraham Lincoln or check out photographic exhibits from the Behringer-Crawford Museum or take a walking tour of the homes and statues along Riverside Drive (including the childhood home of Daniel Carter Bear, founder of the Boy Scouts). There will be music all day and food and beer from local bar and grills Keystone, Molly Malone’s, Blinker’s and others.

Noon-10 p.m. Saturday, June 21. Free. Park Avenue and Court Street, Covington, Ky., facebook.com/roeblingfest.
