Commemorate Memorial Day all weekend long at Spring Grove Cemetery, where mini American flags will wave beside the graves of Civil War soldiers. The Ohio Military Band kicks things off 7:30 p.m. Thursday with a concert in the Rose Garden Gazebo. Friday through Monday, a veterans tribute will be on display at the onsite Gwen Mooney Funeral Home, and a walking tour 1 p.m. Sunday revolves around Cincinnati’s patriots and pioneers, many of whom are buried on the grounds. The main event, however, takes place on Monday, when the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War are joined by the Sixth Ohio Volunteer Infantry for a ceremony at 11 a.m., including a historic custom dating back to 1868. Stick around until 12:30 p.m. for a Memorial Day presentation led by Abraham Lincoln himself (or at least a convincing lookalike), followed by a walking tour showcasing Spring Grove’s Civil War history.

Thursday-Monday. Free. 4521 Spring Grove Ave., Spring Grove Village, springgrove.org
