In the spirit of curiosity and ideas worth spreading, TEDxCincinnati invites you to experience a local TED (technology, entertainment and design) conference at Memorial Hall.

This year’s program, titled “Sound Ideas,” will feature an energizing mix of live talks and performances, streamed videos, audience participation and lively conversations with interesting people from different backgrounds. The Queen City TED talk is entirely homegrown and independently organized with general guidance from the TED Conference.

Fittingly, its take on “sound” will feature a Cincinnati flair with talks from Libby Hunter, co-founder of WordPlay, and Joe Boyd, president of Rebel Pilgrim Productions, along with an array of other speakers and performers with Cincinnati ties, including a singing bowl performance by Ron Esposito and Boogie Woogie Blues with Ricky Nye.

5-9 p.m. Thursday. $25; $20 student. Memorial Hall, 1225 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine, tedxcincinnati.com
