When most people hear the words “flea market,” chic, vintage and one-of-a-kind aren’t exactly the descriptors that come to mind. It’s that stereotype that The City Flea is shedding — along with the mothballs. Instead of tattered clothing and battered furniture, the Flea provides a common space for artist hands and creative minds to show off their work. From clothing, furniture, music, food or coffee, window shoppers and art enthusiasts will easily stumble upon hidden treasures in this eclectic corner of the city. Now in its second season, City Flea focuses on local vendors with items customers can’t find in any store across the country. The market runs all afternoon, so Findlay Market patrons can fill up on fresh food before hitting the stalls a hop, skip and jump away. 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday July 14. Across from Music Hall at Washington Park, 1230 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine. thecityflea.com.
