Some of us were never cut out for the wild life of the Moped Army: Getting multiple mopeds stolen during a single summer and generally disliking energy beers can get you kicked right out of this social group. Luckily there’s the Bomb Prom, the culmination of the local Moped Army chapter’s annual rally and a party worthy of miles of travel for the more dedicated moped enthusiasts.
This year’s event is titled “Bomb Prom 5: Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb” and will include music by DJ Carl & MRDR (misterdoctor), $1 PBR and cheap well drinks at The Mockbee. Those who bring their own Sparks (FYI: a store in Oxford still has the ones with caffeine) can head out to the Ice Cream Factory for an after-party and the kind of shenanigans that ensue when combining bonfires, trampolines and staying up hella late.
Bomb Prom starts at 9 p.m. and costs $3 at the door; funny formalwear encouraged.
