'Tis the season to be shopping! If you’re dreading the stress and chaos of Black Friday, then try a different type of shopping experience with Cincinnati Unchained, voted CityBeat’s Best of Cincinnati 2008 “Best Retail Promotion.” Come out and support Tristate businesses by shopping local all day Saturday. With over 80 local businesses in the Greater Cincinnati area offering special one-day deals, there’s plenty of opportunities to support entrepreneurs in our neighborhoods. Areas participating in Cincinnati Unchained include: Clifton, College Hill, Northside, Hyde Park, Over-the-Rhine, Newport, Bellevue and many more. But the specials don’t end there. BuyCincy will be giving away gift baskets as well — all you need to do is visit the participating businesses throughout the day and fill a shopper’s passport with stamps for a chance to win one of seven gift baskets. Shopper’s passports can also be found at year’s Crafty Supermarket program and online at BuyCincy. Gift basket winners will be drawn Thanksgiving week.
