For 31 years, more than 150,000 people have gathered during the weekend after Labor Day in Covington’s historic MainStrasse Village to celebrate the Tristate’s rich German heritage, making merry with authentic German food, lively entertainment and a huge variety of arts-and-crafters.
Crowned as one of the “Top 10 2009 Fall Festivals” by the Kentucky Tourism Council, the fest will kick off with the traditional Keg Tapping ceremony and continue through a rowdy weekend full of musical performances pulsating from four stages, ranging from the tunes of locally renowned Leroy Ellington & the E-Funk Band to traditional German music, Country, Blues and more. Don’t miss out on a huge selection of German ales, clogging performances, a “Kinderplatz” area with rides for children and nearly 100 artisan booths. Wunderbar!
