Fabricate, Northside's boutique-gallery hybrid chock full of unique art and locally made goodies, is celebrating its two-year anniversary with an opening reception for Cintessential, a group art show featuring works that represent something (person, place, thing, feeling, etc.) quintessentially Cincinnati — e.g. "the cintessential chili parlour." From 6-10 p.m. Saturday, check out a selection of Fabricate's favorite artists, as well as some new faces, exhibiting their personal take on our city in a variety of media. And, as this is a celebration, there will of course be beverages and an after-party and dancing at Mayday (4227 Spring Grove Ave., Northside). As the ladies of Fabricate (co-owners Aileen McGrath and Chris Salley) put it, "The last two years have been amazing and we have all of you to thank for making it possible. Without all of the creativity of our artists and consigners and all the customer patronage in choosing to support local artists, we wouldn’t be here. Thank you so very much." Shop local. Celebrate local. Happy two years, ladies!
