Saturday at Findlay Market (1801 Race St.), Cincinnati’s Chili Meister will be crowned. Allow the gravitas of this situation to settle in for a second… Now that your shattered world has been crafted anew, we can talk about the seventh annual Gold Star Chili Cook-Off. Thirty of the city’s top chili cooks will square off; only three will win a title and prize. The tasting is open to the public at 1:30 p.m., so we all win, really. To help wash down the chili, the OTR Biergarten will be offering Christian Moerlein beer and Voodoo Puppet will be supplying some tunes for the event. Judging will occur at noon, so be sure to head down early if you want to see the winners in all of their glory. The contest will be held in the Farm Shed of Findlay Market and is free to the public.
