Folks who live in the Greater Cincinnati area are collectively good at a handful of things, but beer drinking stands at the top of list. The annual MainStrasse Oktoberfest in Covington is a prime opportunity for people to showcase their talent with more than six blocks of bars and restaurants to patronize. The festival offers a variety of traditional German food, in addition to more than 75 artisans and crafters from all over the country. As always, live music plays a major role in this festive event. Live performers include DV8, Robin Lacy & DeZydeco and 4th Day Echo. Oktoberfest also offers entertainment for those who are yet to realize their drinking stature by featuring carnival rides, 3D chalk drawings, balloon art and magicians. The 32nd annual Oktoberfest will be held in MainStrasse Village 5-11:30 p.m. Friday, noon-11:30 p.m. Saturday and noon-9 p.m. Sunday. Free admission and parking in the IRS lot at Fourth and Johnson streets.
