Ah, there’s nothing quite like the smell of crushed car chassis and burnt diesel in the quiet hours before dusk. What, you agree? Good. Then come on down to U.S. Bank Arena this weekend to watch the glorious Grave Digger — the most illustrious and famous monster truck in America — destroy everything in his path.

The action-packed Monster Jam mixes racing with stunts and demolition in an over-the-top car-crushing spectacle and, as an added bonus, offers a Pit Party (11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday) where fans can get autographs from all the drivers. Advance Auto Parts (with their own truck, Grinder) has put this shindig together with a ton of other oversized vehicles, so it should be insane.

And if you’re feeling like you’d enjoy a face full of shrapnel, opt for front row tickets for $50 — buyer beware!

7 p.m. Friday; 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday. $12 opening night; $18-$50 all other shows ($10 for kids ages 2-12). 100 Broadway St., Downtown, 513-421-4111, monsterjam.com.
