It’s no secret that musical performances focus on the auditory aspect of art — most people don’t attend a concert at Music Hall driven by a burning desire to feel its luxuriously plush seating or appreciate its distinctly historical aroma. But thanks to sponsorship from local organizations, audiences will be able to experience a true feast for the senses that combines the talent of local artists with the sights, smells and textures of Cincinnati’s natural landscapes. "Music on the Trails" is a four-week concert series sponsored by the Groesbeck Fund with support from the Clifton Town Meeting, the Uptown Consortium and CityBeat that features local bands performing in different locations around the picturesque hiking trails of Burnet Woods. This Sunday’s performance will highlight the talents of Sweet Basil, a contemporary folk band with a twist whose unique musical style is vibrant as woods themselves. Performances run from 1-3 p.m. Sundays through July 31, and are free to hikers, picnickers and music lovers alike.
