Dust off your leather jacket and hide your Prius at home, because it’s time for the annual Newport Motorcycle Rally. The rally boasts four days of festivities celebrating Cincinnati motorcycles and the people who know them best. Attendees can trek to the waterfront and admire the rows of bikes framed against the Cincinnati skyline, and owners can register their rides for judging and a chance to be crowned the “Best-Looking Bike.” Kickstands go up at noon Sunday for the second-annual Warriors for the Children July Casino Ride, whose proceeds benefit abused and neglected children in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. The festival will also feature games, harbor cruises, live music from local bands, tons of food, contests and plenty of prizes. To top it all off, the first and last night of the rally will end with a spectacular fireworks display on the riverfront. Be sure to register your motorcycle by 11 a.m. Saturday. Festivities are scheduled to open at 5 p.m. on Friday and end at midnight; Saturday through Monday will run from noon-midnight. The rally is free, so strap some helmets onto your family and friends too.
