If you were already planning on stopping by Hoffner Park, The Northside Tavern, Chameleons, The Serpent, Mayday or The Comet this Saturday night, your future just got a little more fabulous. Cincinnati Pride Week might be long gone, but Northside’s still ready to ready to party in the name of all folks gay, lesbian, transgender or otherwise. Whether you’re the subject of the celebration or just an observer, there are plenty of free (or at least inexpensive) ways to show some love and tip your glass to Cincinnati’s GLBTQ community. Start out with free dinner at the Northside Tavern from 4-6 p.m. provided by Sushi Bears and Take the Cake, where the “ART is GAY” photo expo will be on display, as well. If that doesn’t fill you up, Hoffner Park is throwing a grill-out party from 5-9 p.m. with free food and drinks hosted by The Leather Group. You can even bring your own food and they’ll cook it for you! No judgment here. Events all evening from 7 p.m.-2 a.m. include a Kings and Queens Pride Drag Show at Chameleons and a Pride Fashion Show featuring Shop4U Urban Boutique and Glitter on the Runway at Northside Tavern followed by live music and burlesque. Other participating venues will be providing live music, dance DJs and everything necessary to celebrate all sexual preferences in style.
