If you're looking for an adventurous way to top off your weekend, consider dumpster diving in Over-the-Rhine. That's right — Cincinnati is taking cues from other cities' summer celebrations and converting an ordinary dumpster into a certified swimming pool. It's happening Sunday thanks to City Council candidate Chris Seelbach's latest bash to raise campaign cash. Before your mind wanders to the various health risks swimming in a garbage bin would inevitably present, rest assured that the party planners have taken necessary precautions to make this a fun and safe shindig. The "pool" will be cleaned, sealed and lined with pool liner in preparation for a proper splash-fest. In addition to the unconventional main attraction, attendees can feast their eyes on the KnickersXY Swimsuit fashion show and treat themselves to complimentary cocktails and meaty treats from the bar and grill. Musical entertainment from DJ Diamonn Gurr and decorations by Joe Rigotti of Accent on Cincinnati will complete the afternoon event. And while you're waiting that 30 minutes between nomming on burgers and taking another dip, you can pose for pics with your pals at the Framester Photo Booth. The pool will be open to guests ages 21 and up from 1-4 p.m. at 126 E. Liberty St., Over-the-Rhine. A $50 donation to "Seelbach for Council" is required to get in, but joining Cincinnati for its first dumpster pool extravaganza sounds like a priceless experience to us.
