Time is quickly running out for anyone interested in attending the second-annual RIVER_DMF, Cincinnati creative collective PROJECMILL’s riverboat dance party. Last year’s version included a live set and music video premiere by The Seedy Seeds, free cake and a top-deck dance party.
CityBeat columnist Danny Cross attended last year to film a documentary of the event, which was subsequently never completed; nevertheless, he says it was fun. “There was booze, cake, music and lots of sweaty dudes,” he says. “I liked it.”
This year’s special guest, Brooklyn Indie quartet The Dig, will be providing live music aboard the boat to complement PROJECTMILL’s DJ sets.
Tickets are $30 and available at Northside’s Shake-It Records, Fabricate and Mayday on Friday for Funky Fresh Friday; $35 online; and $40 at the door while they last. Price covers admission, beer, wine, dancing, music and DANCE_MF birthday cake. The boat boards at 11 p.m., and any sailors who don’t make it will be left on shore without a refund.
