Downtown’s popular Second Sunday on Main events have changed their name to “Second Sunday in OTR” in order to include Main, Vine and other surrounding areas between 12th and 14th streets. It will still remain the “hip, eclectic neighborhood event” it’s always been with a couple changes: The beer Garden and live music will move to the newly opened Neon’s Unplugged.
The first Sunday event of this year is titled “Take Mom to OTR” in honor of Mother’s Day. Start the day with brunch and coffee at one of the great OTR eateries like Iris Book Café, Coffee Emporium, Lavomatic or Senate. Then head to Vine and Main streets for unique shopping at stores like Park and Vine, Mica 12/v and The Little Mahatma, or visit the vendor and artist booths at the Street Fair on Main. And wind down with celebrity chef demos at Falling Wall Condos and live music and drinks at Neon’s.
