Let’s face it, watching graffiti artists and fire breathers probably doesn’t sound like the typical way to spend a Saturday night, but The First Annual Funk Fest isn’t your typical affair. Come join local art enthusiasts and fashionistas alike on Saturday from 7 p.m.-2 a.m. as the Newport Syndicate transforms into a hodge-podge of art, live music from local performers, fashion and entertainment, including illusionists and magicians – all sure to delight your senses. There’ll even be a full bar complete with $2 domestics and cocktail servers wearing circus-inspired latex body art. Did I mention fire breathers? Tickets are $10.
