Seven short films about life in Walnut Hills, created by DAAP professor Ryan Mulligan and art educator Sam Meador and featuring residents of the inner-city neighborhood, debut with a free outdoor screening. The films, collectively called Hilltop Stories, seek to give people a voice and chance to express what’s meaningful to them about their lives and surroundings. For instance, one is about a 20-person chess club that meets at McDonald’s. Another features a Cincinnati Parks employee’s thoughts as he tends to flowers on Woodburn. The program is sponsored by the Gallery Project.

9:15 p.m. Friday. Free. Parking lot at 2718 Woodburn Ave., Walnut Hills, facebook.com/thegalleryproj.
