GOP Endorses Council Slate

The Hamilton County Republican Party endorsed five people Thursday night in this November's elections for Cincinnati City Council.

As expected, the GOP slate includes all three of the party's incumbents: Leslie Ghiz, Charlie Winburn and recent appointee Amy Murray. Also getting the nod were Wayne Lippert and Catherine Smith Mills.—-

Lippert is a financial planner who lives in Hyde Park. Also, he worked as an aide to then-U.S. Congressman Rob Portman from 1993-97, first as a caseworker and later as a legislative aide.

Mills is a Mount Lookout resident who co-chairs the Hamilton County Republican Party's Leadership Council, a young professional networking organization. She's also worked in the Congressional offices of Portman and Jean Schmidt.
