The coronavirus vaccine incentives in Greater Cincinnati keep piling up.
Visitors to the Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati can flash their vaccination cards for freebies this month. Throughout May, guests will receive $5 in free play at the Wild Card Club when they show their COVID-19 vaccination proof. The offer is good for a single use only and lasts through the end of May.
The casino joins a number of other local businesses incentivizing COVID-19 vaccinations. The Cincinnati Reds are offering $10 tickets through the end of May, and Krispy Kreme is giving away free glazed doughnuts every day until the end of the year, both for showing vaccination cards.
Employers are starting to get in on the action, too. Taste of Belgium announced in April that it would give current and future employees $100 if they got a Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Many businesses and organizations are incentivizing COVID-19 vaccinations as part of the region's effort to vaccinate 80% of eligible residents by July 4. On April 22, the 15-county region was 45% vaccinated.
