If travel along I-275 is part of your daily commute, count yourself warned: Parts of the interstate will be closed due to construction throughout next week, according to an Ohio Department of Transportation press release.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily — starting Monday, Jan. 13 through Friday, Jan. 17 — there will be single-lane closures on I-275 West between Four Mile Road and the Kentucky side of the Combs Hehl Bridge for pavement repairs.

And there will be multiple lane closures on Kellogg Avenue at the I-275 overpass daily from Jan. 13 through Saturday, Jan. 18 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) for equipment removal.

"Arrow boards and/or signs will alert motorists of the work zone and restrictions, and all work is contingent upon the weather," reads the release. "To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone."

Cincinnatians can expect rainy weather this weekend and more is predicted next week; Tuesday and Wednesday both have a 50 percent chance of rain, according to weather.com, while next Friday and Saturday both have a 40 percent chance. Who else just wants to curl up and read instead of facing the dreary conditions outside?
