The always amazing melodic Rock & Roll masters Howlin' Maggie are winding down the promo push behind their latest album, Hyde, with a handful of shows, including a stop in Cincinnati this weekend with local greats The Ass Ponys. The Columbus-based band will then go on a brief hiatus as frontman Harold "Happy" Chichester begins work on new records by the Twilight Singers (which will be locally-bred singer/songwriter Greg Dulli's first album following the break-up of the Afghan Whigs) and Shawn Smith, one-time Twilight Singer and a key member of the bands Satchel and Brad. Chichester is then set to return to Columbus to begin work on a new Howlin' Maggie CD, due in late 2003.
