If you're getting ready to head down to the Southgate House in Newport tonight for the 9:30 p.m. Jesse Malin & The St. Marks Social concert, you might want to look for something else to do. The show has been canceled due to illness, according to the Southgate's site. Malin (or whoever updates Malin's social media pages) posted a message/apology on his Facebook page about the cancellation. —-
"We're extremely sorry to announce that we've had to cancel tonight's show at the Southgate House in Newport. KY due to reasons beyond our control," the message reads. "Rest assured that the SMS will be back soon! Thank you to everyone who was planning on coming out."
Those who bought advanced tickets can get refunds wherever the ticket were purchased.
Since there's no Jesse tonight, how about a little Malin music to ease the pain? First up is a clip of Malin and Co. rockin' out a blistering version of the Bad Brains Punk classic "Pay to Cum" with Green Day' Billie Joe Armstrong.
