Forgotten legends recall the birth of three creations at the beginning of time. First, there was Man, shaped from the clay; then the Angels, creatures of light; and finally the Jinn, born of the smokeless fires. Tales of angels and men dominated the world, with man gaining a degree of supremacy over the angels; all but obliterating the Jinn from existence. That is, until now. Writer-director Ajmal Zaheer Ahmad (It’s A Mismatch) resurrects the fiery outcasts in this story about a young couple (Dominic Rains and Serinda Swan) eager to start a family and live happily ever after who discover their connection to a dark history they weren’t prepared to face alone, and fortunately don’t have to thanks to the otherworldly support of a mysterious warrior (Ray Park), a priest (William Atherton) and an asylum detainee (Faran Tahir). Opens April 4 at Esquire Theatre. (PG-13) Not screened in time for review
