Last week, Kroger Health announced it would be erecting a pop-up drive-thru COVID-19 testing site at the Dunham Recreation Center (4356 Dunham Lane) on April 30 and May 1.
Things must have gone well, because the City of Cincinnati said on its Facebook page that the testing site will continue operating this week — Tuesday, May 5 through Thursday, May 7.
In order to get a COVID-19 test, you must qualify to receive one. To see if you do, log on to krogerhealth.com/covidtesting and follow the prompts. The questions for the screening were adapted from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
If you are eligible for a coronavirus test, you can schedule and pre-register for a test at a location that is most convenient for you — which in this case is most likely Dunham.
For testing, patients should arrive at the testing facility and remain in their cars with the windows rolled up. Please have your ID ready.
Patients will then be given a kit by a health care worker and use self-administered nasal swabs to collect a specimen. According to Kroger, these collection kits are less painful and designed to increase safety. Results can be expected in 48 hours.
