Spin magazine is currently streaming Dynamite Steps, the new album by local native Greg Dulli’s Twilight Singers, in its entirety. Dulli’s first album under the Twilight Singers banner in five years is officially released next week (Feb. 15).—- Eager fans can give it an early listen here.

The album is the first Twilight Singers album for Sub Pop, the label that gave Dulli and Cincinnati’s legendary Afghan Whigs their start. Fittingly, in its glowing review of Dynamite Steps, Spin calls the album Dulli’s “strongest, most widescreen set since the Whigs’ mid-’90s heyday,” while Dulli himself told the magazine the recording is his most “full-band” sounding release since the Whigs broke up.

Like past Twilight Singers releases, Dynamite Steps features several cameos. The album's guest list includes Ani DiFranco, Joseph Arthur, Petra Haden, Dulli’s Gutter Twins collaborator Mark Lanegan and guitarist Nick McCabe, formerly of trippy British rockers The Verve.

It’s looking like Dulli’s stripped-down, retrospective set last year at the 20th Century Theatre will be the last time local fans get to see the singer/songwriter on stage for at least a few more months. The band launches the Dynamite Steps tour in London next month and continues touring Europe through April.
