How’s this for a creepy, head-spinning premise: Geoffrey Girard’s latest book, Cain’s Blood, opens as 15-year-old Jeff Jacobson is informed that his biological father is really Jeffrey Dahmer, the notorious serial killer who heinously murdered 17 people from 1978 to 1991. It seems Jacobson was concocted entirely from Dahmer’s DNA as part of a top-secret cloning experiment by the U.S. government dubbed “Project CAIN.”
As if that isn’t outlandish enough, Jacobson finds out there are others like him — those genetically spawned from such infamous killers as The Son of Sam, Ted Bundy and The Boston Strangler. Girard reads from and signs Cain’s Blood at Joseph-Beth Booksellers.
