MidPoint Around Town

The 2009 MidPoint Music Festival starts in 48 hours (from the time I'm writing this). Be sure to keep your eyes pealed on all local media these next few days (not just CityBeat, like you all usually do, right?), as MidPoint gets featured on local TV, blogs, newspaper and radio outlets.

Fox19 has been promoting the festival with live in-studio performances by some MPMFers. The Chocolate Horse sounded fabulous this morning (see the video here).

Channel 9 (WCPO) will be on the fest hard, with planned live remotes and interviews with MidPoint's movers and shakers in the morning, afternoon and evening. Channel 9 and radio stations like WNKU (which is allowing me to guest DJ tomorrow at around 4 p.m.) are giving away tickets as well.—-

Tonight, long-running local music show Kindred Sanction will air a MidPoint-focused show at 8 p.m. on ClassX Radio (listen to it here).

Blogs like Broken Mic and Each Note Secure, among others, are also spotlighting the festival. And The Enquirer and mini-Enquirer (Metromix) have also provided solid preview coverage for MidPoint.

To get the latest info instantly from now until after the festival ends, be sure to befriend MidPoint on Twitter and Facebook. And bookmark MidPoint's page at citybeat.com for musings about the shows, performers and crazy fans, and links to coverage elsewhere. You can also hear music from some of the performers, search the schedule, look through hundreds of photos and much more.
