President Obama and top lawmakers are meeting at the White House this morning to talk about that whole deficit thing. Both Democrats and Republicans hope to slash the deficit by borrowing more than $2 trillion. Yesterday in a Cabinet Room meeting, Obama pushed for a “grand bargain” in the range of $4 trillion in deficit cuts over the coming decade, although Republicans remain opposed to anything Obama wants to do.—-

Family. If it came down to the family saying, ‘Please, Mom, don’t do this,’ then that would be the deal-killer for me," she said. “I think Bristol has made up her mind, and Bristol wants me to run for president. But we’re still thinking about it. I’m still thinking about it.”

Slavery had a disastrous impact on African-American families, yet sadly a child born into slavery in 1860 was more likely to be raised by his mother and father in a two-parent household than was an African-American baby born after the election of the USA’s first African-American President,” a clip reads.
