President Barack Obama turned 50 today and, after nudging his wife, said the only thing that’s lost a little spring in its step is the economy. "By the time I wake up, I'll have an email from AARP asking me to call President Obama and tell him to protect Medicare," Obama joked during a fundraiser in Chicago on the eve of his birthday. Mrs. Obama organized an electronic birthday card to be e-mailed to him that read, "I see Barack make choices he knows will affect every American family. That's no small task for anyone — and more proof that he's earning every last one of those gray hairs." —-

Police Academy’s Bubba Smith was found dead yesterday in his Los Angeles home. The 66-year-old actor and former football star was best known for his role as Moses Hightower in the hit comedy movie series.

Police in the Miami-Dade area are looking for any information on a burglary/kidnapping that occurred Tuesday night. Four men in ski masks ambushed a couple and took them to the man’s house where the robbers tied up his family, roughed up his wife and looted the home for jewelry. The men then brought the man’s girlfriend into the home and introduced her to his wife then left them all together in the house and sped off.

Investigators have it on good authority it was just a really elaborate episode of Cheaters being filmed.
