So the rich guy goes after his employee's fiancée, only to be outwitted by some smart blue-collar folks and a vindictive spouse. Sound like a story for a film you might like to see? Well, it's not all that new: In fact, it's pretty much what happens in Mozart's LE NOZZE DE FIGARO (The Marriage of Figaro). The witty 1786 opera — which has some musical moments that can break your heart, too — is onstage this weekend at Miami University's Hall Auditorium. Friday-Saturday (7:30 p.m.), Sunday (3 p.m.). It's affordable, too — $10 tops, less if you're a senior or a student. Tickets: 513-529-3200 or www.tickets. muohio.edu. ...

You've gone to the Museum Center for an Omnimax film, I suspect, and maybe even to one of the interesting museum facilities under the old train station's roof. But I doubt you've been there for a concert: In fact, there's a significant pipe organ, dating back to 1929, in the rotunda, that's fit for playing concerts, and a couple of times a year that's what happens. With over 4,000 pipes, played from a console with four manuals, it can reproduce the sound of an entire orchestra. On Monday, you can hear a concert by organist PETER RICHARD CONTE, who's usually heard playing at the Wanamaker Grand Court in Philadelphia, the world's largest pipe organ. His varied program includes works by Elgar and Saint-Saéns, and transcriptions from symphonic pieces like Debussy's "Afternoon of a Faun" and Verdi's Overture to La Forza del Destino. For this concert, Museum Center parking is free. Tickets: 513-287-7001. ...

You can read about touring bands almost every week in Cincinnati. Did you know our own CINCINNATI SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA has been wowing audiences in Europe since late October? After stops in Austria and Germany, they wind up this week with several gigs in Spain. The reviews have been glowing, and we hear that they haven't lost any of the 100 musicians, instruments and other equipment to 11 concerts in nine cities. They'll be back in town for concerts at Music Hall with the May Festival Chorus on Nov. 19-20. Tickets: 513-381-3300.
