The Muppets are back and looking to continue their assault on popular culture in co-writer (with Nicholas Stoller) and director James Bobin’s latest tale of their escapades. This time the crew is on a world tour, currently settled in Europe, when they encounter a Kermit doppelganger in the midst of a huge jewel-heist. The re-emergence of the Muppets brand presents a one-of-a-kind opportunity for the Kermit look-alike to not only claim his coveted prize, but also curtail the Muppets revival. Of course, to save the day, the Muppets enlist the assistance of a who’s who (Tom Hiddleston, Oscar winner Christoph Waltz, Stanley Tucci and Lady Gaga) that makes the Tonight Show guest list look like a local PTA roster.
