Art Damage, the influential radio show/performance space/experimental music-supporting collective, turns 25 years old this year, and throughout the next 365 days the group will be celebrating with a variety of events and concerts that explore the boundaries of the sonic arts. The festivities kick off this weekend at the Art Damage Lodge with a two-night blowout featuring some of the biggest names in experimental music.
Friday night will have Baltimore’s Nautical Almanac, plus Philly’s Weyes Bluhd, Michigan’s Andrew Coltrane and Lexington’s Ara (featuring members of Hair Police). Saturday’s lineup features L.A.’s Sissy Spacek, Michigan’s Wolf Eyes (pictured), Columbus’ Sword Heaven and Gerrit Wittmer & Paul Knowles from Los Angeles.
Cover for each night is just $6. Both shows start at 9 p.m. and are open to all ages. Get show details and Sound Advice here.
