Ellis Paul is a musician who has hung in there over the years despite the ups and downs of the music business. In a classic case of “what goes around comes around,” Paul and his nearly 20 albums have now found themselves in the middle of the current Folk music revival.

Inspired by Folk music stalwarts Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie, Paul is a native of Maine who found his niche in Boston. In the best Folk tradition, his music is poignant and at times activist driven, yet still fun and sweet. As his career evolved, he became friends with Seeger and even played onstage with the late legend at the Newport Folk Festival. He also befriended the family of his other hero, Guthrie, which led to Paul being asked by Guthrie’s daughter Nora to write music to go along with some lyrics left behind by the Folk music icon before his death in 1967. Paul is currently on the road supporting his 2014 release, Chasing Beauty.
