Adele has single-handedly revived the music industry’s sales with her sophomore effort, 21. The Brit’s soulful album that featured hits such as “Rolling in the Deep” and “Someone Like You” has not only sold more albums than any other album this year, 5.6 million units so far, but more albums than any other studio album since Usher moved 7.9 units of his fourth album, Confessions, back in 2004. Helped on by Michael Bublé’sChristmas (2.4 million) and Lady Gaga’s Born This Way (2 million), the music industry is expected to see its first upsurge since 2004.—-
