When Alcon Entertainment and Warner Bros. yesterday announced that they’d be remaking Kathryn Bigelow’s 1991 film Point Break, [all 12] fans of the original gave a contemptuous shout against the project. Fans made their disgust known on Twitter.—-

Chris McCoy: They're remaking Point Break. If ever there was a time for Swayze to return Ghost-style and prevent a great wrong from happening, it's now.

Jay Onrait: This is sacrilege. Unless @THEGaryBusey is in it again.

Justin Stangel, head writer/executive producer of Late Show with David Letterman: Warner Bros plans on remaking the 1991 action-thriller Point Break. Really? How do you recreate perfection?

Andrew Bird’s documentary Fever Year is set to premiere at the New York Film Festival on Oct. 1. Director Xan Aranda calls the compiled footage of concerts, solo performances and scenes of his recording process “a snapshot of a time during which he became 'perfectly adapted to the music hall' – his risk and reward for being an undeniable creative force."

Twenty-five-year-old Gavriel, an Orthodox Jew, knew that something was missing from his sex life but couldn’t quite put his finger on it. Then his wife gave him a nudge. Gavriel opened KosherSexToys.net, which sells vibrators, lubricants and fetish gear without all the nudy pictures to accompany them. “We were thinking, ‘Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a place we could go that would be clean and would enhance what we have between us?’” Gavriel says business is doing well and furry handcuffs are his best-seller. He also has plans to add a lingerie line, but is first searching for a way to display the underwear without mannequins.

Rabbi Shmuley Botheach says, “The greatest misconception in pop culture is that religious people are pious in bed. In fact, Orthodox Jewish couples are taught, once they get engaged, to have phenomenal, shout-out-loud, swinging-from-the-chandelier sex.”

I bet you didn’t know “schmuck” actually meant penis.

According to the new Forbes magazine list, Tyler Perry is the highest-paid man in entertainment, grossing $130 million in the last year. No one should be ok with that.
