After launching its own cloud music service, Google plans to open up an online music store of its own, one that The New York Times Media Decoder calls an "MP3 store that would compete with Apple and Amazon." Rumor has it that Google is in negotiations with major music labels to make the service possible, but no one from Google or the labels have officially commented on the matter. Google is expected to launch its store before Apple’s cloud offering, iTunes Match, goes live at the end of October.—-

As if Ryan Gosling’s Drive couldn’t draw anymore unwanted attention, the film supposedly influenced a man to throw a hotdog at Tiger Woods. What's worse? The lady who back in September sued the distributors because the movie “bore very little similarity to a chase, or race action film, for reasons including but not limited to Drive having very little driving in the motion picture” and it wasn’t enough like Fast and the Furious or this Brandon Kelly dude who chucked a beef-weenie at Tiger?

Disney has finally given the go-ahead for The Lone Ranger starring Johnny Depp to begin production. “Johnny Depp, Jerry Bruckheimer and Gore Verbinski are such a talented combination and we’re thrilled to get back to work with them on The Lone Ranger,” a Disney spokesperson said.

Nelson Vaquiz, a truck driver out of Virginia, was arrested after speeding through a gateless toll lane in New York with some sort of Transporter-influenced contraption that allowed him to hide his license plates. "Our police department takes this very seriously and are on the lookout for such maneuvers," Port Authority spokesman Ron Marsico said. "Hopefully this will serve as a lesson." Port Authority says that toll dodgers cost it $14 million in 2009 and 2010.
