The local band Seabird spent 2008 riding high on its debut for EMI/Credential Recordings, ‘Til We See the Shore, promoting it on the road (including a recent tour with Christian Rock superstar David Crowder) and on TV (network shows like Numb3rs, Grey’s Anatomy and Pushing Daisies have featured Seabird’s dramatic, emotive music) and even scoring the Cincinnati Entertainment Award for “Artists of the Year.”
To close out 2009, the band’s follow-up album sees release this Tuesday, but local fans of the group’s lush Pop Rock will get in on the action early as Seabird hosts a CD release event at Newport’s Southgate House on Saturday. Your paid admission includes a copy of the new Rocks Into Rivers album and a night full of passionate anthems of hope and redemption.
Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 day of show. Get show details and Sound Advice here.
