During the 10 years since forming, Florida foursome Torche has become one of the best acts to come out of the so-called “Stoner Rock” scene, due in large part to the members’ willingness to go beyond the genre’s expectations and clichés. The group’s most recent full-length, 2012’s Harmonicraft, wonderfully showcased Torche’s consistently heavy bluster and creative, dynamic style, which is sublimely progressive, often dizzyingly psychedelic and always remarkably melodic. The band recently unveiled the pulsating, trippy track “Minions,” the first single from the group’s much-anticipated new album, Restarter, Torche’s debut for Relapse Records, which is set for release on Feb. 24, 2015. The band’s Cincinnati visit is the first date of a brief tour with cult rockers Clutch.

7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27. $25. Bogart’s, 2621 Vine St., Corryville, bogarts.com.
