Moving Mountains
EarthSave Cincinnati hosts Mountaintop Removal Roadshow at 8 p.m. Monday at Kaldi's Coffee House on Main Street. The program is about a type of mining called "mountaintop removal" and the impact upon the environment, Appalachian communities, and mine workers. Admission is free.
Influence City Spending
With major cuts proposed for social services, Cincinnati City Councilman David Crowley is asking for public input on the city's 2005-06 budget. The city administration has proposed $11.5 million in spending cuts, including eliminating the entire human services budget, while hiring additional police officers. Peace Group Rebuilds
The Coalition for Peace With Iraq (CPWI) is organizing to help rebuild the anti-war movement — before Bush regime's next military venture. CPWI meets from 4-6 p.m. the first and third Sundays of each month at Mt. Auburn Presbyterian Church. The next meeting is Dec. 5.

Delight your loved ones while supporting justice by shopping at the St. Nick Day Sale sponsored by the Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Fair Trade gifts will be for sale, including hand-painted crafts from El Salvador, sculptures from Ghana and woodcarvings from Madagascar. The sale is at the Peaslee Neighborhood Center, 215 E. 14th St.
