Aladdin, Princess Jasmine and a shiny magic lamp are on their way to the Taft Theatre — by magic carpet of course — as the Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati brings this favorite Disney movie to life. With direction by Roderick Justice, music by Alan Menken and a featured role of the Genie by Local 12’s Bob Herzog, audiences will no doubt be taken to “A Whole New World.” An exciting collaboration with the Cincinnati Circus Company means aerial acrobats and stilt walkers will be added to the flurry of magic and mayhem.

7:30 p.m. Friday; 2 and 5 p.m. Saturday; 2 p.m. Sunday; 2 p.m. April 18. $7-$25. Taft Theatre, 317 E. Fifth St., Downtown, thechildrenstheatre.com.
