Have we truly managed to cross a racial divide? Not according to Bruce Norris, whose award-winning play gets its regional premiere at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park this week.

Spinning two tales set in the house that provided the catalyst for Lorraine Hansberry’s classic play, A Raisin in the Sun, Norris’ 2011 script uses two acts and one cast to play neighbors in 1959 and 2009 whose awkward conversations about real estate in a Chicago neighborhood devolve into ferocious bickering and interpersonal warfare over race, economics and selfishness.

Showtimes Tuesday-Sunday. Through Feb. 16. $30-$75. Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, 962 Mount Adams Circle, Mount Adams, 513-421-3888, cincyplay.com
