Falcon Players, a small company that produces shows in the intimate Monmouth Theater in Newport, has found an inventive way to present the story, offering it as a radio drama since 2009. Not only do you get to experience the endearing story, you see actors playing multiple roles and behind-the-scenes sound effects creating the story’s atmosphere. It’s a great outing for people who like to see how theater works. One weekend of performances are past, but you still have Thursday Dec. 13, Friday Dec. 14 and Saturday Dec.15 to catch this one. $14-$17. Monmouth Theatre, 636 Monmouth St., Newport. 513-479-6783, monmouththeatre.com.
