Every summer, Cincy Shakes reminds us that even the classics have a sense of humor. For several years they’ve made audiences laugh with The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). They’re down a different but familiar path this summer with this show by the same zany writing team, condensing our nation’s history into a riotous two-hour send-up. Two of CSC’s best comic performers, Miranda McGee and Justin McCombs, are joined by newcomer Geoffrey Barnes, who keeps right up with the hilarious poking of fun at presidents, politics and more. McGee is Australian, so her insights (and green card motives) are particularly amusing.
